S.A.E. | Department of Mechanical Engineering
SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers)
SAE is an international organization dedicated to advancing mobility on land, sea, air, and space. The chapter was formed by students from all branches of Engineering with the main aim of enhancing students' knowledge through various automotive-related activities.
The chapter was established in the year 2000. For the academic year 2011–12, the SAE Collegiate Chapter involved 54 student members from both Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses.
The counseling body is formed by students. The Vice President (Head of the Department) acts as the head along with the Staff Advisor of SAE. Dynamic and energetic students are selected through interviews for the following posts:
- Secretary (from B.E.)
- Treasurer (from T.E.)
- Event Manager (from T.E.)
- Executive Members (one from each division)
- One Ladies Executive Member
