Profile

We are proud to announce that the B.Tech Electrical Engineering programme has been accredited as a Tier-1 programme by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The department has achieved this historic milestone in its very first cycle of accreditation — a remarkable accomplishment.

The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 2017 with an intake of 60 students, offering a four-year B.Tech programme in Electrical Engineering. The programme is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

Electrical Engineering is widely recognized as one of the most foundational and transformative engineering disciplines that have significantly shaped modern life. At our department, we continue this tradition with a strong academic foundation and practical orientation.

The Vision, Mission, and Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the department have been carefully crafted, taking into account the dynamic demands of the electrical engineering field. Feedback from diverse stakeholders—including students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, industry experts, and research organizations—has played a vital role in this formulation.

Our faculty members are highly qualified and experienced, specializing in key domains such as Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics and Drives, Control Systems, Smart Grid, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicles (e-Vehicles) etc.

The Department of Electrical Engineering has maintained a strong placement record since its first graduating batch and continues this tradition of success. The department has proudly achieved a highest package of Rs.28.68 LPA, reflecting the quality of education and the competence of our students.

In addition to academic excellence, the department places a strong emphasis on research and development, innovation, and the 360-degree holistic development of students. Our goal is to nurture not only technically sound engineers but also socially responsible and industry-ready professionals.

Beyond academics, students actively participate in curricular and co-curricular activities through the department’s student organization, Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA) and are also involved with esteemed professional bodies such as IEEE, ISTE, and Institute of Engineers (IE). The department is continuously supporting students for participation in various industry organised hackathon, Dipex, project completion in core as well as software field like coding competitions. The department is always support student to get trained and certified into globally recognized course System Application & Products in data processing (SAP).

The department provides students with numerous opportunities to showcase their talents and aspirations on both national and international platforms, empowering them to fulfil their own dreams and make their families proud. Hundreds of success stories are available in the department.

The central library and department library maintains its own well-equipped departmental library, offering an extensive collection of reference books, textbooks, and technical magazines as well various e-journals.

To promote strong industry-academia interaction, the department organizes a variety of flagship events including:

  • Sanjivani Thought Leader
  • Sanjivani I-Connect
  • Sanjivani My Story Board

These initiatives provide students with valuable exposure to industry trends, real-world challenges, and professional success stories.

Students also benefit from a wide range of personal and professional skill development programs available on campus, such as:

  • Communication and Soft Skills Training
  • Aptitude and Competitive Exam Preparation (GATE/GRE/CAT, etc.)
  • Technical Skill Enhancement Workshops
  • Foreign Language Certification Courses
  • Personal and Spiritual Development Programs
  • Entrepreneurship Development Activities

To further support holistic growth, students are encouraged to participate in student associations, the Student Council, and various departmental and college-level events—helping them develop essential leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
